United Kingdom / Italy 2021, 85 min, Italian, Hebrew & English subtitles
Entoni wants to be king of the neighborhood. He is convinced that years from now, he will be sitting in his spacious house, with his beloved wife and adoring children, and telling them about the trouble he got into as a boy. Except Entoni is still a boy, and his adventures are far from being the stuff of legend. Like most of his friends, he is growing up fatherless, because dad is in jail, and at home, grandma worries while mom tries to rebuild her life. The city of Naples is a major character in the film, just like Entoni, his family, and his friends. With its narrow alleyways, broken sidewalks, billowing laundry lines, and looming church spires, backdropped by stunning views and the open sea and filled with an enchanting light that colors each frame—tough and magical Naples seems to shape all who grow up in it.
