A Tribute to Modi Bar-On

Docaviv Festival salutes screenwriter and television personality Modi Bar-On, who passed away a year ago.
Modi, along with his creative partner Anat Zeltzer, has enriched our cultural landscape and documentary scene with important and unforgettable series such as Hakol Anashim (It’s All People), Bemedinat HaYehudim (In the State of the Jews), Tel Aviv Jaffa, The Kibbutz, Kvish 90 (Highway 90), and Shi’ur Moledet (Homeland Lesson). He also contributed to Anat Zeltzer’s latest work, Secularism, screened at this year’s festival.
Held in memory of Modi, this special one-off event will feature actors, filmmakers, artists, cultural figures, and Modi’s creative partners. The event will cover a range of Modi’s creative work, including his skits for HaHamishia Hakamerit; the documentary, culture, and sports shows he hosted; his columns, and the songs he wrote with Yossi Peretz for the trio “Ech Ze Oved Be’emet” (“How it really works”).
