We look to the horizon, lined with tower blocks. We can spot it from here—the neighborhood of Ir Yamim, standing tall at the edge of Netanya. At its feet lies a nature reserve that connects to a stream, which flows into the sea. But a dark cloud looms overhead: Open spaces are under constant threat.

Winner of the Docu-Climate student grant, a joint initiative of Docaviv and the New Israeli Foundation for Cinema and Television, for supporting documentaries that show the effects of climate change and global warming in Israel, as well as films about sustainability and the relationship between humans and their environment.

Tai Inbar is a documentary filmmaker and graduate of The Steve Tisch School of Film and Television at Tel Aviv University. During her studies, she explored blending fiction, documentation, and activism in her work, leading to her debut film 'Rite of Passage: The Tribe and The Stripper'.
