The Passing

Dr. Michael, a house-call veterinarian whose gentle touch calms even the most skittish ginger cat, gracefully shoulders his chosen burden: to guide the humans who seek his help through the final chapter in the lives of their beloved four-legged companions. Cindy, his next-door neighbor, is about to face the hardest day of her life. The Passing may be just over 17 minutes long, but its emotional impact lingers long after.

Patrick is a visual artist and film maker. He works with his wife Ivete Lucas and lives in a small town in Appalachia.

Ivete Lucas was born in Brazil and grew up in Mexico. Her short films have premiered at Sundance, Berlin, Toronto and Cannes, gone on to win a Cinema Eye Honor and over thirty film festival awards. PAHOKEE, her feature-length debut premiered in the documentary competition at Sundance.
